A new version of the 2009 software has been uploaded to the 1099-etc.com website.  You can now download version E-2.4 as a full or differential update. Here is what is new with version E-2.4:

An error, "Error -1 Reading Filename" would occur if a copy of a file existed in the Payer's directory. 

For example:
If "Payer.dbf" was copied and a file named "Copy of Payer.dbf" now existed in the Payer's directory.

W-2/1099 Forms
1042S
Box 21 on the bottom copy of the 1042S laser generated form was printing the company over the pre-printed text.  The pre-printed text has been removed.

940 E-Filing
The ability to E-File the 940 data, via a third-party vendor has been added.
