A new version of the 2011 software has been uploaded to the 1099-etc.com website. You can now download this version as a full or differential update. Here is what is new with version E-4.9:

W-2/1099 Forms
W-2/1099 Sort Command
The Sort Command was sorting the State/Zip instead of just the Zip.  Updated to sort on the Zip Code field only.

A-T-F Payroll
943
Payment instructions have been added for the 943 voucher.

944
When e-filing the 944, the dashes were not being removed from the preparer's phone number.  This has been corrected.

Connecticut - W-3 HHE
The data on the Connecticut W-3 HHE form was not printing in the correct location.  This has been fixed.

Forms-Etc
1040 Schedule H
Line 21 on the 1040 Schedule H form has been updated. 

New York Wage Statement
Due to New York's new payroll requirements, a New York Wage Statement has been added.

E-File Direct
E-File Direct File Extensions
The default extensions for the E-File Direct Files and Transmittal Reports (.MAG and .TRN, respectively) was causing some confusion as to which files were to be uploaded to the Reporting Agencies.  These extensions have been updated so that .EFD is used for E-File Direct Files and .LOG is used for the Transmittal Reports. 

Payer's Phone Number
The Payer's Phone Number is a required field when e-filing.  The program has been updated so that if the Payer's Phone Number is missing an error will occur prior to creating the file. 

Puerto Rico - W-2 E-File Direct File
The Puerto Rico E-File Direct file was not outputting the Employer Kind when creating the file for the SSA.  This has been corrected.

W-2C
The W-2C E-File Direct file was not outputting zeroes correctly.  This has been fixed.

E-Filing Services
Payer's Phone Number
The Payer's Phone Number is a required field when e-filing.  The program has been updated so that if the Payer's Phone Number is missing an error will occur prior to submitting the Batch.
