Yes, you must purchase the 1099-Etc software separately for each tax year you plan on using it to process forms. The 1099-etc software is designed specifically for an individual tax year to ensure that each form is as accurate and up to date as we can make it. Government agencies change tax forms and laws fairly often and so we work year round to get these form and tax law changes added to the 1099-Etc software as soon as possible.

The 1099-Etc software has payroll tax and unemployment forms for each state plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. It also has federal tax and unemployment forms plus a few others related to payroll taxes. Click the following links to se the supported forms for each Module.

To change the Work Directory:
- At the Main Menu, select Utilities>Program System Utilities>Change User's Work Directory.
- Select the correct drive and directory for the program year.

No. The Laser Generation Option is for printing the form and the data on blank plain white paper.

You probably have a Firewall blocking our program from accessing the website. You can either change the Firewall setting or go directly to our site, www.1099-etc.com, and download the latest update.

The employee's Default Check no longer displays. How do you change the default check on an employee?
On the Input screen, click Special>Include Default Checks in Browse. The Default checks will now display and can be edited.

If the accounting software can get their data into a spreadsheet format, then the data can be imported into our program. We do offer a conversion program from the following software: GreatLand, CFS, DKP, EG Systems, Newport Wave, DacEasy, Quick & Easy and Unilink.
