I am trying to restore a backup on my new VISTA computer and I get an error, "The disk is write protected and the file cannot be formatted". How can I get past this?

You will need to change a User Account Vista setting. Open up the Control Panel (click Start>Control Panel). On the Control Panel screen, select User Accounts. Next, select Turn User Account Control on or off, remove the check from Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer and click OK. You will need to reboot the computer.
