Hit CTRL-Alt-Del once.  If you are in Windows2000, or WindowsXP you will see the Windows Security Window. Click on the Task Manager to see your running tasks. The Task Manager window will list all of your running tasks, or programs. Look for instances of a program called Menu1099, which may be listed more than once. This is the 1099-Etc program.   Please highlight Menu1099 and click End Task for every instance of Menu1099 listed. Once all Menu1099's are removed from the Task Manager, you may run the program normally. If you continue to have problems, close any open programs and reboot your computer.
