When entering data, how do I set the program up so that the decimal point is automatically entered?

You will need to enable the Implied Decimal Setting, select Options>Settings>Implied Decimal from either the W-2/1099 Forms Menu, the A-T-F Payroll Menu or the Forms-Etc Menu.
